Girl excitement!

Wow, believe it or not, Paul is reacting more excited about the girl than I am. Even though I'm extremely excited, I knew Paul was nervous not only of a girl, but of another child, but he is being totally cute (if that's ok to use for him) about this. He was talking to her last night, telling her what a princess she will be and how much he loves her, and she was moving like crazy to his voice; daddy's girl!
So, I pointed out this really cute bedding I'd seen long ago at Ikea to him online, and he loved it, yes a man loving bedding. I showed him several, but he wanted the one I'd originally showed him. Anyhoo, we took a trip to Ikea today to look at it, and it was on sale for 6.99. Yes, bedding that cheap; soooooooo cute. Besides getting that, the boys got to play for an hour in Ikeas play area, where they watch your kids for you, so you are free to shop, and you get a cheap dinner. It was a good day!
We haven't picked a name yet, well, we kinda have, but just in case we change our minds, we aren't just going to tell everyone yet. What a different dimension to our lives this will be. Will she be tall and and czech like, like her daddy, or short and italian like, like me? Will she look like Gabi or Mikel or neither; they don't look like each other!
Our parents told us that they prayed for us, our lives and even spouses and children, long before we were even conceived! Man, I have some praying to do!!! I have a tough time keeping up with today!
There is a special bond that can happen with a mother and daughter, but it also can be a horrible one, I'm scared. Pray for me! Paul's fears, like any head of household, are provisions, so pray that he has peace!
Hope you had a good Sunday, to start out your week!
Love ya'll

IT'S A GIRL!!!

We are having a girl!!!
So, I must summarize our life since we last wrote a Gorn page or any family update.
Mikel is 5 1/2, Gabi is 4 and our baby girl (wow, that was wierd to say) will be born, Lord willing, around November 15thish.
Paul is still a teacher and is switching from the Garland district to the Richardson district which is closer to home and will have the same schedule as Mikel our soon to be kindergartener in the fall.
Paul had a rough year. As you know we lost his mom to cancer last August, and it was right at the beginning of the school year; need I say more. God showed His compassion to us all throughout!!! Because he is switching districts, they can't give him summer school this year, which means we are out some big, much needed, bucks, but we had to do it. He also worked hard on a grant all year, and at the last minute they said, "oh you're leaving us, well, you can't have that money." You might think those are red flags, but, a lot of other stuff said we were supposed to do this, so it's just money right?
Anyhoo, I still clean 3 houses and in the fall it will be 2 but we are still trying to be realistic about whether I'll need to add another. I'm hoping to get really involved in Mikel's class, wherever I can. Gabi will go to a 2 day preschool program, which he will love. I hope to do BSF (Bible study fellowship) again this year; at least until the baby is born, and then they only take children 2yrs. and older; which is a shame because Gabi really enjoys it.
Mikel spent all week 2 weeks ago at a friend's house going to VBS (vacation Bible school) and just had a blast. We took Gabi to a VBS close to home everyday the same week, and we were a bit apprehensive about how he'd do not knowing his surroundings, (he really is the baby of the fam., so kinda spoiled and very attached). But, he LOVED it, had all of the stories, verses and songs memorized by the next day.
We go to a house church, basically that means that we don't meet in a building and we don't have all of the structure of that, kind of making it more inviting to the "unchurched" if you know what I mean. It's more inviting when you go to a house and have some coffee do church like stuff and eat lunch together. It's cool, it also gets a little cramped and well, when you are fewer you can see everyones "dirty laundry". But, God has us there for a reason, trust me the story is long, but it wasn't just an overnight decision to leave our other church and head "home".
Anyhoo, there has been tons of other things but, I'll cut it now. We are determined not to just be comfortable (though that sounds awefully good) we have ants in our pants and want to see God's work.
Ok, that is a very summarized summary. Write or call if you want to know more. We plan on keeping ya'll up to speed now!
Love you tons
You are in our prayers
